I would allow myself to be honestly happy.

Hi there Beatriz,

Most fear, imo, arises when we are stimulated or “triggered” by something that causes our self-doubt to rise.  We have a long and difficult relationship with this self-doubt piece and therefore it gets trumped by “fear” so that we can “react” in resentment, or, depression in the longer run.  Associated with self-doubt are the existential questions, which if left unprocessed and just “worried” over constellate self-doubt into a friggin' monster.  Whatever it is then, in the field that does not totally support our state-of-being becomes a threat to the self-doubt trigger and thus the fear that rises with it.  So, if life is threatening on a general basis because of huge, unprocessed self doubts, then we are bound either to hide away through addictive practice or live in fear and resentment (self or otherwise) which totally sucks.

The key is to accept the self as-is, burdensome self-doubt and all, and then get in there and friggin' inventory your life until you know the truth, the full truth with shame, guilt, powerlessness, and all the rest of the tough emotions and ALL OF THE CHARACTER DEFECTS we employ to help us with the look-good while thinking-bad piece, the full truth while seeking especially for where we have misrepresented our responsibilities to self in our stories.  This thorough house-cleaning will slowly erase self-doubt and the being can enjoy the world without being triggered so much by the whacked out goings on;.

love,
Michael
